VCA to take on Simula XI, JKP to clash with Ishar XI in semis today

JAMMU, Nov 14: Vishal Cricket Academy (VCA) XI will take on Simula XI, while, JKP XI will clash with Ishar XI in the semifinal round of the ongoing Eid-Diwali Milan Cup T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Police Department in collaboration with Simula Software at MA Stadium, tomorrow.
Earlier, Vishal Cricket Club XI drubbed RCC X1 in an easy contest.
Winning the toss and batting first, RCC XI scored 105 runs in stipulated 20 overs for the loss of 9 wickets. Shabaz was the top scorer with 28 runs in 23 balls, while Rahul made 17 runs in 15 balls with one ball towards the fence. Ajay also contributed 13 runs to the total.
For VCA XI side, Bansi Lal scalped 3 wickets, while, Kaka and Varun took 2 and 1 wicket respectively.
In reply, VCA XI chased the target in 16 over for the loss of 2 wickets. Bansi Lal was the top scorer with 51 runs in 44 balls including 9 fours, while, Avinash and Parveen made 18 and 14 runs respectively.
For RCC XI side, Kuldeep scalped 2 wickets.
Bansi Lal of Vishal Cricket Club XI was adjudged man of the match for his brilliant performance.
In second match, Ishar XI thrashed HPCC XI in a keenly contested match by 9 runs.
Batting first, after winning the toss, Ishar XI scored 153 runs in the stipulated 20 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Paras was the top scorer with 24 runs including 2 boundaries, while, Abhimanue also hit well made 20 runs in 23 balls with the help of 2 fours. Sahil also contributed 19 runs in 24 balls with 2 fours to the total. For HPCC XI, Wasim was the wrecker in chief, while, Nadeem and Habib took 2 wickets each.
In reply, HPCC-XI failed to chase the target and bundled out at 144 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in stipulated 20 overs, thus losing the match by 9 runs. Sunny Malik was the top scorer with 33 runs, while, Wasim and Yasir contributed 23 and 18 runs to the total.
For Ishar XI, Vishwajeet, Deepak and Pavit scalped 2 wickets each, while, Sahil took 1 wicket.
Deepak of Ishar XI was adjudged as man of the match for his all round performance.
The matches were officiated by Suhail and JD Singh as umpires, while Yogesh maintained the scorecard.
