VCAJK XI beats Delhi Veterans in Legend Masters 2.0 C’ship

JAMMU, Feb 14: The Legend Masters 2.0 Inter-State Veteran T20 Cricket Championship was inaugurated today by Bisham Batra, President of Pegasus Cricket Club and Director of Batra Group Jammu. The tournament features veteran teams from Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai and the host team J&K, with players from the UK and UAE also participating.
In the opening match, Delhi Veterans won the toss and opted to bat first but struggled against the disciplined VCAJK XI bowlers, finishing at 112/9 in their allotted 20 overs. Sagar (32), Satish (17) and Subodh (14) were the top scorers for Delhi. Vivek Suri was the standout bowler for VCAJK XI, claiming 4 wickets, while Ratnesh Puri and Nazar shared 2 wickets each.
Chasing a target of 113 runs, VCAJK XI lost an early wicket, but Sunil Sharma (46*) and Jameel (26) forged a strong 53-run partnership, guiding the team toward victory. VCAJK XI reached the target in 15 overs, winning by 5 wickets. Rajeshwar (14) and Vikram (12) also contributed to the chase. Vivek Suri was named the Man of the Match for his match-winning bowling performance.
