JAMMU, July 1: Vijayanta Cricket Club (VCC) Akhnoor registered 6 wickets win over Nagrota Youngstar Eagle in the inaugural tie of the Jammu Tawi Summer T-20 Premier League, being organized by Jammu Tawi Sports Club at GGM Science College hostel ground, here today.
Batting first Nagrota Youngstar Eagle scored 150 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Irshad Ahmed was the top scorer with 40 runs, while Rohit Kanth made 33 runs and Naresh chipped in 24 runs.
In reply, VCC Akhnoor chased the target in 18.2 overs for the loss of 4 wickets. Manik chipped in 44 runs, while Govil made 39 runs and Sandeep scored 24 runs.
From Nagrota Youngstar Eagle side, Madan, Lovish and Irshad took one wicket each.
Manik of VCC Akhnoor was adjudged as Man of the Match.
The match was officiated by Saddiq Hussain Malik and Sanju as umpires, while Sandeep Manchanda maintained the scorecard.
In tomorrow’s fixture, White Cricket Club (WCC) will take on SCC.
