VCC reaches finals in KPL-VII

JAMMU, Apr 24: Vinayaka Cricket Club (VCC) reached the finals of KPL-VII by defeating RSCC in a semi-final match at KC Sports Ground, here today.
The VCC will lock horns with Jhelum Cricket Club next Sunday at the same above mentioned venue.
RSCC won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 168 runs wherein Rajesh made 44 off 24 balls, while Yashpal scored 28 runs and King Ji and Manoj contributed 21 and 20 runs by facing 15 balls and 17 balls respectively. From the bowling side, Sunil and Mohan took 2 wickets each, whereas Rajinder and Ashu Bazaz took 1 wicket each.
In reply, VCC chased the target by losing only 6 wickets in 19.2 overs and registered 4 wickets win over the RSCC. Ashwani made 52 runs off 44 balls, while Rohan Punjabi was the star performer who scored 66 by facing 44 balls and stood unbeaten and Bal Krishan and Rajesh contributed 16 and 14 runs respectively. From the bowling side, Rajesh Khatri took 3 wickets, while Nikhil got 2 wickets and Jai Mantoo claimed 1 wicket.
