JAMMU, Jan 14: Parade police under ‘Operation Chetak’ arrested the vehicle lifter and recovered stolen scooty from his possession.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by Daleep Kumar, son of Ashok Kumar of Dogra Hall with Police Post Parade that some unidentified persons have stolen his scooty.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 4/18 was registered at Police Station Pacca Danga and investigation started.
During course of investigation, several suspects were rounded up among which one suspect confessed that he had committed the theft and police arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Kuldeep Kumar, son of late Om Parkash, a resident of New Plot Tali Morh. On his disclosure, police recovered the stolen scooty.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain his involvement in other theft cases.
Police team led by Incharge Police Post Parade SI Vijay Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Pacca Danga SI Dheeraj Nagapl, SDPO City Varun Jandial and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
