Vi 5G goes live at Chandigarh’s Stadium for cricket fans

JAMMU, Apr 9: Vi has launched its 5G services at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Cricket Stadium in Chandigarh, allowing cricket fans to experience high-speed connectivity while enjoying the live action. To cater to the crowd, Vi has strengthened its network infrastructure, deploying additional 5G sites and using technologies such as BTS and Massive MIMO.
These enhancements ensure seamless connectivity for thousands of spectators, offering fast and reliable internet even in jam-packed stadiums. Fans can stream live moments, upload videos, and stay connected with friends, all with the power of Vi 5G. Vi customers with 5G-enabled devices can access unlimited 5G at the stadium for free by activating 5G in their mobile settings.
The 5G roll-out at the Chandigarh stadium is part of Vi’s initiative to bring 5G to 11 prominent stadiums across India, including Eden Gardens (Kolkata), Narendra Modi Stadium (Ahmedabad), M. Chinnaswamy Stadium (Bengaluru) and others.
Vi has installed 53 5G sites, enhanced 44 sites and deployed 9 Cell On Wheels (CoW) around the stadiums to ensure uninterrupted connectivity.
