Vicky XI Pathankot, MACC Chandigarh script wins

KATHUA, Dec 16: The 2nd and 3rd match of the 6th Police Martyrs’ Memorial North Zone Inter Club T20 Cricket Championship were played at Sports Stadium, here today.
The 2nd match of the Championship was played between JKP Kashmir Home Gurad XI and Vicky XI Pathankot and 3rd match was played between Minerva Academy Cricket Club Chandigarh and JKP Jammu.
In the 2nd match, JKP Kashmir Home Gurad XI won the toss and elected to bat first and set a target of 107 runs in 20 overs.  Abid Nabi scored 22 runs in 23 balls and was the top scorer. Vicky XI Pathankot chased the target runs by losing 4 wickets in just 16.4 overs. Sukhjinder Singh, the top scorer of the match, who scored 29 runs in 14 balls was declared man of match with a cash prize of Rs. 1500 and a trophy.
In another match played today, Minerva Academy Cricket Club (MACC) Chandigarh won the toss and chose to bat first.
Batting first, MACC Chandigarh set a target of 191 runs in 20 overs by losing 8 wickets. Ankit Kaushik scored 83 runs in 45 balls and Ravinder contributed 45 runs in 32 balls.
The JKP Jammu could not chase the target and scored only 149 runs in 20 overs.
Ankit Kaushik of Minerva Academy Cricket Club Chandigarh was declared man of the match with a cash prize of Rs 1500 and a trophy.
