UDHAMPUR, June 14: Vijay Mathur proved his metal in Under-16 category, while Khazan Singh of Rajasthan continued his winning spree to advance in the ongoing 19th RSCET 2012 Inter-District Open State and Open National Chess Championship, organized by the District Udhampur Chess Association, under the banner of Champions Club, here.
While Vijay secured the top slot to make his way easy for the next round of Udhampur Inter-District Champion Club Open State category matches, Khazan Singh displayed his skill in National category matches, having a clean sweep and fetching 4 points in the first round match.
The matches are being played on the league basis and the winner of this tournament would be recommended for the forthcoming State and National Championships.
