SAMBA. Jan 29: The Vijaypur-Ramgarh road which is known for regular traffic congestions today remained jammed for hours together with the result the normal life was paralyzed for a long time during the day. Despite the repeated pleas to authorities by the prominent citizens of the area a number of times who apprised them of the problems being faced by the people due to regular traffic jams on Vijaypur -Ramgarh road and sought their intervention for proper regulation of traffic no action has been taken by them till date.
The people and shopkeepers of Vijaypur said the police authorities after discussing the matter with prominent citizens assured them the rederessal of their genuine problem. They also sought the cooperation of public, especially the shopkeepers, who often dump their commercial belongings on the road side. They also sought the cooperation so that there is no irregular parking of vehicles on either side of the road.
However the action which has been assured by the police authorities is yet awaited. The hapless public of the Vijaypur who are now totally fed up have demanded intervention of the higher authorities for redressal of their problem. They also demanded the up-gradation of Bye-Pass Road alongside the Ravi Tawi Canal so as to ensure hassle free movement of locals as well as vehicles on the road.
