SRINAGAR, Sept 27: Minister of State for Power, Vikar Rasool Wani today visited grid stations of Bemina and Rawalpora which were submerged due to recent flood.
The Minister took stock of the pace of ongoing restoration work being carried out for providing power supply to the catchment areas of these grid stations.
Mr. Vikar was informed that receiving station Bemina-II would be made functional by tomorrow and accordingly 60% power supply will be restored in the area. He said that in view of accumulation of water in various parts of the area, there are apprehensions of electric shock, he said as soon as water is completely drained out 100 percent power supply will be restored.
The Minister directed the concerned authorities to speed up the pace of work so that power supply is restored at an earliest across the valley.
Chief Engineer PDD and other concerned officers were accompanied the Minister.
