Viking CC wins at Kishtwar, TCC at Reasi

JAMMU, July 2: Viking Cricket Club defeated Young Star Cricket Club by 5 wickets at Chowgan ground in Kishtwar, while Thanpal Cricket Club got the better of Talimore Cricket Club by 50 runs at Sports Stadium, Reasi today in the ongoing District Level JKCA Premier Championship being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association under the overall supervision of Sham Saroop Kalsotra, Member, Committee of Members JKCA, at various venues in Jammu province.
At Chowgan ground Kishtwar, batting first, Young Star Cricket Club scored a modest total of 109 runs in 17.2 overs. Baaqir top scored with 29 runs, while Basit and Umair contributed 15 runs each. Suhail and Manjeed captured 3 wickets each from Viking Cricket Club.
In reply, Viking Club chased the target in 15 overs by losing 5 wickets, thus won the match by 5 wickets.  Azar, Nafre and Numan contributed 23, 20 and 15 runs respectively. From Young Star Club Mubashir took 2 wickets.
At Sports Stadium Reasi, Thanpal Cricket Club scored 106 runs in 19.4 overs. Vijay and Arjun contributed 20 runs each, while Sahil chipped in with 12 runs. Pardeep took 3 wickets, while Sahil and Rohit claimed 2 wickets each for Talimore CC.
In reply, Talimore CC bundled out for a paltry total of 56 runs. Rohit was the only batsman to cross double figure mark, scoring 13 runs. Manik and Vijay Pal took 3 wickets each from Thanpal Cricket Club.
