JAMMU, Jan 20: General secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), Vikram Malhotra vowed to carry out development agenda in Jammu city.
Addressing public at Prem Nagar today, he promised the gathering of full support for carrying out any kind of development work in the area in future.
Malhotra urged upon the people to remain watch dog of the society in the prevailing political situation in the State, particularly in view of the recent Assembly elections.
“As formation of new Government in Jammu and Kashmir has been delayed due to hung verdict in the recent elections, as no particular party could get full majority and this resulted in imposition of Governor’s Rule in the State”, he said.
Earlier, the senior Congress leader launched iron grating work along a prime nallah at Prem Nagar in Ward No 7 of Jammu East Constituency.
Being a long and wide nallah, it was a long pending demand of the residents of Prem Nagar, which got fulfilled with the keen interest of Vikram Malhotra after several delegations of people from the area met him with the demand for it.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Thomas Khokhar, Vishal, Rama, Mohinder and others.
