JAMMU, Oct 22: In a significant and proactive move, Vikramaditya Singh, Trustee of Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth Trust and former MLC, undertook an extensive tour of revered temples in Jammu city to assess and address pressing issues related to their structural integrity and safety.
The former MLC conducted a visit to the Gadhadhar Temple in Mubarak Mandi, Baldev Ji Temple, Panjtirthi and Chintpurni Temple situated on Circular Road in Jammu to take stock of structural damages due to natural wear and tear, adverse weather conditions, and illegal occupation of temple premises.
Brig RS Langeh (Retd), President and other senior officials of the Trust accompanied the Trustee.
Vikramaditya Singh directed the officials accompanying with them to carry out necessary repairs and maintenance works, with an emphasis on prioritizing these essential tasks to ensure the preservation of these sacred landmarks.
Meanwhile, the Trustee also visited Ranbireshwar Temple, at Shalamar Road Jammu, to oversee the removal of accumulated debris (Mulba) from the damaged portion of the temple, which will allow for the next step of commencing a safety audit.
Vikramaditya issued clear instructions to Dharmarth Trust officials leaving no room for ambiguity. He stressed the importance of restoring the Ranbireshwar Temple promptly and professionally, emphasizing the paramount considerations of preserving the temple’s sanctity, the integrity of its structure, and the safety of devotees.
In accordance with the guidance of Chairman Trustee, Dr Karan Singh, the Dharmarth Trust is fully dedicated to ensure the swift reopening of this sacred temple to devotees at the earliest.
