Vikramaditya exhorts PDP workers to take up people’s issues

Jammu, Mar 17: Senior leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Member of the Legislative Council (MLC), Vikramaditya Singh today exhorted party workers to spread message of late Mufti Mohd Sayeed in every nook and corner of the State to accomplish the agenda of peace and development. He further asked party workers to take up people’s issues for redressal.
Addressing a meeting of the senior leaders and activists of Jammu and Samba districts in connection with the forthcoming elections of the Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), Vikramadiyta Singh, asked party leaders to take up peoples’ issues at every platform to address such issues. He said that common masses have high hopes on PDP as during the ten months tenure of the previous government headed by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, various steps were taken to solve day today problems of the common masses. “It is responsibility of every PDP worker and leader to address the issues concerning the common masses”, he told the workers and reminded that it was dream of late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed to strength democracy at grass root level to empower the people in real sense.
PDP leader further said that Mufti Sayeed through this foresightedness and visionary policies had changed political discourse of J&K and with his death a void has been created- which is impossible to fill.
Singh talked about taking forward the party membership drive started by party president Mehbooba Mufti and the vision of late Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Syed. He also instructed the district and zone presidents to begin serious preparations for forthcoming municipal elections. Vikramaditya Singh addressed public issues and gievances relating to on going development works in these districts.
Others present in the meetings were general secretary,  Ved Mahajan,  MLC Surrinder Chowdry,  TS Bajwa,  Bhushan Dogra, district president Harmesh Slathia,  Falail Singh, Yudhishtar Singh,  Ghar Singh & Satpal Charak.
