RAJOURI, Dec 21: One person was injured as an old shell exploded in Kanara area of Naushera sector of Rajouri district on Wednesday.
Official sources said that a villager, Harbans Singh had taken his cattle to graze at the bank of local river in the morning when he found an old shell on the river bank. One seeing some object, he tried to fiddle with it and then it exploded with big bang. He sustained multiple injuries.
The local people shifted him to Army Health Sub Center from where after first aid he was removed to Army’s 150 General Hospital Rajouri. Later, he was removed to GMC Rajouri.
The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
