UDHAMPUR, Feb 13: A young man was killed by a leopard in village Shtradi Sudh Mahadev in block Chenani of district Udhampur.
The deceased was identified as Maqsud Ali (25), son of Ishtaq of Shtradi, Sudh Mahadev.
He was attacked by the leopard late last night when he was on way to home from a nearby forest. Before some villagers could come forward to his rescue, the leopard had left him critically injured. He was shifted to Sub District Hospital Chenani where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The incident has triggered a panic in the village as leopard is still at large.
