KALAKOTE, Mar 27: The villagers from Panchayat Soom in Tehsil Kalakote today held protest demonstration against Rural Development Department.
The villagers led by Sarpanch, M Y Mughal reached the BDO office, Kalakote during the day today and started protest demonstration. They shouted slogans against BDO Kalakote, Director Rural Development Jammu and Commissioner/ Secretary, RDD. They alleged that post of BDO Kalakote remained vacant for long. Now, one lady officer has been posted but she hardly visits the office. The public is suffering a lot and the higher authorities are least bothered about the plight of the public.
They alleged that the pending bills of the people are not being cleared. The DDO and most of the staff remains absent from duty and concerned ACD has failed to monitor the work in this block office. Later, they took up the matter with the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kalakote. They sought the intervention of DC Rajouri and the concerned Advisor into the matter.
