Villagers protest against staff shortage in schools

UDHAMPUR, Aug 31: Locals of block Panchari and Moungri here today staged protest demonstration against the education department and district administration as there is shortage of staff in four Government Schools in the area.
The protest was led by Jaswant Singh, block president NC.
Protesters appealed to the Governor Satya Pal Malik to look into the matter as future of poor students is at stake.
They alleged that there is shortage of staff at Government Higher Secondary Schools in Lander, Damnote, Panchari and Moungri.
They further informed that five lecturer are teaching 210 student in Hr Sec Moungri, three lecturer teach 450 student in GHSS Lander and three lecturer teach 450 student in Damnot.
The protesters also said that soon the students will have their examinations so the teaching staff should be immediately deputed in these schools.
Sarpanch Lower Mir, Luxman Dass, Kalash Dutt, Sarpanch, Suman, Kuldeep Kumar, Sarpanch Chulna, Kuldeep Raj Sarpanch Latyar, Naveena Devi Sarpanch Upper Mir and others were also present in the protest.
