Vinayaka CC wins KPL-X’s inaugural tie

JAMMU, Oct 22: Vinayaka Cricket Club (VCC) today won the inaugural tie of KPL-X played at KC Sports Ground, here against Sharika Cricket Club (SCC).
SCC won the toss and elected to field first.
From the VCC, Rajesh and Surinder started the proceeding and played confidently and made 9 runs and 21 runs respectively, while Balji scored 10 runs and Sumit Dhar played a fantastic innings by scoring 29 in 27 balls, studded with 2 fours and one maximum and Vinney played a responsible innings of 19 runs in just 16 deliveries by hitting three boundaries and gave the target of 147 runs in stipulated 20 overs.
In reply, the SCC bundled out at 101 runs in 17.5 overs, wherein Deepak scored 11 runs, Anil Bushan made 21 runs in 17 balls and Rohit Bhat scored 14 runs in 10 balls.
From VCC, Nikhil and Arun took 2 wickets each, while Rajinder, Rakesh, Sumit and Vijay took 1 wicket each.
Rajinder was declared as man of the match for his all round performance.
