Vipin, Parveen win in Snooker Masters North Zone

NEW DELHI, Mar 11:
Delhi’s Vipin Sethi came up with another sizzling show to outclass Uttar Pradesh’s Rajeev Tilara 3-1 on the third day of the RKG Snooker Masters North Zone championship, here today.
Sethi showed brilliant potting skills en route to his 71-20 67-39 45-66 62-34 win over Tilara at the Megapool Snooker Academy in Dwarka.
In his bid to promote snooker in the city, Kush Bhargava, vice president, Billiards and Snooker Federation of India (BSFI), today visited the academy and encouraged the young players to take up the game as a career.
He watched the proceedings of the ongoing championship and praised the efforts put in by the academy.
Meanwhile, in other matches of the day, Haryana’s Parveen Rathi defeated Uttar Pradesh’s Ayush Gwal 3-0 while Madhya Pradesh’s Manish Kukreja put paid to the hopes of UP’s Manjeet Verma (UP) by an identical margin. (PTI)
