Pacer Antony Dhas and leg-spinner M Ashwin shared seven wickets between them as Tamil Nadu thrashed Haryana by nine wickets in their opening group A match of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Twenty20 tournament here today.
While Dhas snared 4/10, Ashwin picked up 3/28 to bundle out Haryana for 113 in 19.1 overs.
Electing to bat after winning the toss, Haryana’s batting failed the team with skipper Nitin Saini’s 44-ball 50 being the only bright spot.
The seasoned Virender Sehwag came a cropper, dismissed after adding just 3 runs to the military medium pace of Rajagopal Sathish.
