Vishal Academy of Taekwondo lifts overall trophy

1st J&K Taekwondo Championship concludes

JAMMU, June 5: Organised by J&K Taekwondo Association, under the aegis of Taekwondo Federation of India, the 1st J&K Taekwondo Championship was held at Multipurpose Hall, MA Stadium, here today.
Vishal Academy Of Taekwondo (VAOT) lifted the overall Championship trophy by bagging maximum number of gold medals.
Dr Ranjeet Kalra, Member Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Assistant Director University of Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion, while Rajan Sharma, Sports Officer J&K State Sports Council and Tirath Ram, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Jammu were the guests of honour. Hari Krishan, AEE and Ashok Singh, Manager Indoor Complex were the special guests.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were PC Sharma, president JKTA, DN Pangotra, organising secretary, Anuj Mahajan, treasurer, Guvinder Rakhwal, Charan Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Nitin Rathore and Atul Pangotra, chairman technical committee. The matches were officiated by the panel of referees including Vikrant Narwalia, Arjun Gupta, Sanjay Kumar, Vivek Padha, Mukta Gupta, Brinder Singh,Varinder Sharma, Adnan, Rajesh Sharma, Arvind satti, Rahula Singh, Anil Singh, Balwinder Singh, Taruna Khajuria, Mousmi Verma, Shefalli Gupta, Harjoot Kaur, Amit Kalsi and Ravinder Singh. About 200 karatekas participated in this tournament.
