JAMMU, Feb 21: Vishal Memorial JKTA Foundation Cup-2021, organised by J&K Taekwondo Association simultaneously in all the Districts of J&K UT, concluded today.
The Vishal Memorial JKTA Foundation-Cup 2021 was organised across the J&K UT in the memory of Late Vishal Sharma (Father/Founder of Taekwondo in J&K) wherein large numbers of athletes, coaches, families and fans participated.
Bhavna Sharma wife of late Vishal Sharma was the chief guest of the main event which was organised at Jammu, whereas SM Bali (VP Indian Taekwondo) along with other dignitaries including Ambedhkar Gupta, Nadir Khan, Rouf Ahmad and Deepak Handa were among guests of honour.
The closing ceremony came to an end with an amazing performance of Taekwondo fight between the Clubs.
Vishal Memorial JKTA Foundation Cup-2021 was one of the largest, most inclusive, most unified, most diverse and most successful Taekwondo Championship in the history of J&K-UT, said officer bearer of the Association.
The technical team was led byAtul Pangotra (international referee) along with Brinder Singh, Arvind Satti, Anchal Sharma, Rashmi Abrol, Narinder Sharma, Shanaz Parveen and many others.
In District Srinagar, the event was organised at Gindun Stadium, where Dronacharya Awardee Kuldeep Handoo was the chief guest, whereas in Baramulla the event was held at Rehma-e-Alam School in which Adv Neelofar Masood was chief guest, in Udhampur the event was held at Town Hall wherein DDC member Rakesh Chander Bodi was the chief guest, besides in Poonch the event was organised at Indoor Hall of Sports Stadium where Ex MLC Pradeep Sharma graced the function as chief guest and in Samba District the function was organised at Humanity PS Bari Brahmana.
The events were also organised at Doda, Kishtwar and Reasi also.
In Kashmir Division, the events were also organised at various districts including Budgam, Pulwama and Bandipora.
