JAMMU, July 20: To evolve the leadership qualities and knack among students, Vishwa Bharati Higher Secondary School Akalpur Morh, Jammu organized a programme for the election of Students Council for the session 2024-2025.
The process began with the casting of votes followed by counting. Hitesh Mehra was elected as Head boy and Vedika Singh as head girl. Ayush Koul was elected as Vice Head boy and Sanvi Najwan as Vice Head girl. Besides, Mahi Digra was elected as Sports Secretary whereas Riya Sharma as Academic Secretary. Anirudh was elected as Cultural Secretary and Saniya Parihar was elected as Discipline Secretary.
All the elected students were given badges and sashes as per their portfolios. They also took pledge to hold the school motto of loyalty, truth and honour in high esteem. School Principal Annapurna Kaul appreciated the students and asked them to perform their devolved duties honestly and effectively for the smooth functioning and maintenance of discipline and decorum in the school campus.
The duties of all these students were briefed by Physical teacher Joginder Singh at the school and anchoring was done by Shakti Raina.
