VKMI organizes State Level Essay Writing Competition

JAMMU, Nov 22: Vichar Kranti Manch International (VKMI) organised a State Level Essay Writing Competition on “Knowledge for Peace, Prosperity and Growth” at Shiksha Niketan Higher Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar, in which students from various educational institutions participated and expressed their views.
On the occasion, SS Kapoor, Chairman, State Water Resource Authority, was the chief guest, while Prof RD Sharma, Chairman, Board of Professional Entrance Examination was the guest of honour. Ashwani Sharma, MLA, Bishnah presided over the function.
While speaking, SS Kapoor lauded the role of VKMI in organizing such events to propagate the importance of moral and ethical values among the youth in particular and society in general.
In the competition, Apurba Vishal, student of Shiksha Niketan School, Jeevan Nagar, Jaishree, students of Himmat Learning Field School, Chhabi Shukla, students of Air Force School bagged first, second and third positions.
The consolation prize was awarded to Tanisha Gupta, students of JK Public School, Sawan Singh Kotwal and Chandan Malhotra, students of Ranbir Higher Secondary School. Moreover, certificate of participation was presented to all the participants.
Founder, VKMI, Dr RR Khajuria, apprised the participants about the working of the organization. He also expressed gratitude to Dr Rameshwar Mengi, Chairman, Shiksha Niketan Higher Secondary School and Nirmal Sharma, Principal for sponsoring the competition.
The programme was conducted by SK Jain, president, VKMI, ID Soni, Chander Mohan Sharma, secretary and DK Sharma, treasurer.
