REASI, Mar 16: District Police organized a Volleyball tournament to engage youth in sports activities at Katra, here today.
Four Volleyball teams from Katra town participated in the event which was organized on knockout basis at Govt. Higher Secondary School Panthal, wherein Katra team lifted winning trophy, whereas Kun-Kanyala team stood runner up in the event.
SSP Amit Gupta along with SDPO Katra distributed the prizes among the winners in presence of dignitaries.
Meanwhile, a nukkad natak was also staged by the youth during the event. A debate competition was also held on drug menace under the Civic Action Programme. The debate competition was organized at Amba kids School Kakryal.
A total of 16 students participated in the debate competition, wherein Arti Parihar was declared as 1st, while Avantika Thakur and Akshi Sharma stood 2nd and 3rd respectively.
SSP Amit Gupta said that the Police is committed to provide a platform to the youth of the district so that they can excel in the sports field and other activities.
