UDHAMPUR, Jan 21: Volleyball Premier League, organized by UT of J&K Sports Council in collaboration with Udhampur District Volleyball Association got underway at Mini Stadium, here today.
Three matches were played wherein Udhampur Volleyball Club defeated Dhanori Volleyball Club by (03-01) (25-15), (16-25), (25-23) & (25-22) sets, whereas City Volleyball Club trounced Chiryai Volleyball Club by (03-0) (25-16), (25-15) & (27-25) sets and Malhar Volleyball Club got better of Narsingh Volleyball Club by (05-02) (25-21), (24-26), (20-25), (25-21) & (15-10).
The matches were officiated by the technical panel of officials including Naveen Kumar Sharma, Sanjay Sharma, Kuldeep Sharma and Manik Nargotra.
Amit Verma, Tehsildar Udhampur was guest of the day while Mohd Saleem, Naib Tehsildar was a special guest.
Roshan Lal Gupta member of Volleyball Association of J&K, Santosh Kumari ZPEO Udhampur, Poonam Sharma ZPEO Jib, Bhim Sein Physical Education Lecturer, Sheikh Tanveer Ahmed president Udhamur District Kabaddi Association, Suresh Khajuria president Badminton Association Udhampur were also present. The tournament was organized under the overall supervision of Shaktish Chopra, Manager Subash Stadium Udhampur.
