KARGIL, Feb 20: Volleyball team of Ladakh comprising 7 boys and 3 girls has been flagged off for 69th Senior National Volleyball Championship to be held at KIIT University Bhubaneshwar, Odhisa from March 5 to 11.
The team was flagged off by Director, Department of Sports and Physical Education Jammu University, Dawood Iqbal Baba along with Sanjay Lecturer Physical Education, Padma Dev Singh Hockey Coach and Mohammad Javed Treasurer Ladakh Volleyball Association.
President Ladakh Volleyball Association Haji Mirza Hussain wished good luck to the team. He informed that rest of the team will be flagged off from Leh tomorrow.
Dawood Iqbal Baba while interacting with the players said that it is a great opportunity for the sports fraternity of Ladakh to exhibit their talent at national level. He impressed upon the team to give their 100 per cent and win medals in this Championship.
