BHADERWAH, May 18: The Volleyball tournament organized by Range Police Headquarters Batote at Govt. Degree College, Bhaderwah under Civic Action Programme 2023-24 concluded here today.
A total of eight teams participated in the tournament and the final match was played between Dhadkai Volleyball Club and Thathri Club which was won by Dhadkai Club with 3 sets out of 5 set with 1 set remaining.
The winner team was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 10000 and the runner-up team was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 7000 along with trophies and certificates.
Javaid Iqbal, SSP Doda was chief guest on the occasion who gave away prizes to winner and runner-up teams. On behalf of the Deputy Inspector General of Police DKR Range, Shridhar Patil, the chief guest advised the players to work hard for future career and channelize their energy in sports activities instead of indulging in drug abuse, negative influence and bad company.
A large number of Volleyball lovers thronged the ground to enjoy the matches.
Addl. SP Vinod Sharma, SDPO Bhaderwah, Waseem Mehmood, number of prominent persons witnessed the final match.
General public from different places was present to boost the morale of players.
