RAJOURI, May 20: A Volleyball Tournament organized by the Army for local youth concluded at ALG Rajouri.
The Tournament was organized as a prelude and run-up of Rajouri Day Celebrations from 17 to 19 May. The Tournament aimed to connect with the youth of Rajouri and promote sports in the region.
A total of eight local teams from various tehsils of Rajouri district participated in the Tournament and witnessed enthusiastic response from all the participants. The tournament was played on a league cum knock-out basis with all teams fiercely competing against each other for the coveted trophy.
The final was played between Asan Volleyball Club and Choudhary Club Rajouri, and Asan Club emerged as winner of the Tournament. Mohd Irfan of Asan Club was adjudged as the Best Player.
The winners and runner’s up teams were given trophies and cash awards.
