Volleyball tournament concludes at Chatroo

KISHTWAR, Feb 24: A Volleyball tournament, organized by J&K Police in memory of Ct. Rajinder Singh concluded at Chatroo with the closing ceremony, here today.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Khalil Poswal was the chief guest of the closing ceremony. The final match was played between the team of Durbeel and Naik Star wherein Durbeel emerged winner.
The participants were awarded with cash prizes by the chief guest.
The SSP was accompanied by DySP DAR Sajjad Khan and Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday SHO Police Station Chatroo, while Sarpanches, Panches, members of transport unions, respectable persons and youth of the area were present during the event.
During the meeting, the public representative raised various issues before the SSP Kishtwar. The SSP gave patient hearing and issues related to police were met on spot and the participants were assured that the issues related to civil administration will be taken up with the concerned department for early redressal.
The SSP Kishtwar also appealed to the participants for their active support for eradicating drug menace from the society and sought necessary assistance in curbing other social crimes.
The SSP also said that such types of sports events connect the youths with various ongoing policies of the police department and said that it is the collective responsibility of parents and members of civil society, social organizations and Police to provide a platform for the younger generations, so that they exhibit their talent through sports.
