KATHUA, Sept 22: Today Volleyball Championship 2012 under Civic Action Programme organized by District Police Kathua inaugurated by worthy SSP Kathua Atul Kumar Goel at Parshuram Mandir Gurha Mundian, Hiranagar.
The objectives of this Championship is to bring awareness among the youth against intoxication of drugs and other social crimes.
In the opening speech, SSP Kathua stressed upon the need to bring awareness among the youth to remain away from the use of drugs and other anti-social activities and to channelize their energy in positive directions like sports etc.
20 teams of Tehsil Hiranagar belonging to different institutions and clubs are participating in this championship.
Among others Tehsildar Hiranagar Subash Dogra, Tehsildar (S) Anil Mangotra, SDPO Border Kathua Kamaljit Singh, DySP (Prob) Amin Bhat, SHO Rajbagh Pardeep Sharma, SHO Hiranagar Gurnam Singh, President Brahamin Sabha Rishi Kumar, President Parsuram Dham Pt. Gurdutt Sharma and Chairman Parshuram Mandir Committee Sh. Krishandev were present on the occasion.
