Volleyball tournament inaugurated at GHSS Ramgarh

SAMBA, Oct 25: In the ongoing Police Martyrs Sports Festival, a Volleyball tournament was inaugurated by Principal Ashwani Thappa and SHO PS Ramgarh, Vijay Kotwal at Government High School Ramgarh, here today.
The league matches were played among all the eight teams and the winning four teams shall compete for their semi-finals to take berth in the final. The matches are being held on a knockout basis under the supervision of trained umpires from the Youth Services and Sports Department Samba.
Later, the finale of “Police Martyrs Memorial Cricket Tournament for Women (U-19)” was played between Guidance & Counselling Cell for Youth Development Gurha Slathia and Guidance & Counselling Cell, Samba.
Both the teams scored equal runs in the allotted overs and was followed by a super over in which the team of Guidance & Counselling Cell Samba emerged as winner and clinched the Police Martyrs Memorial Cricket Tournament.
Similarly, Football final match was played between Samba JKMC and Vijaypur Club. Samba JKMC won the tournament by defeating the Vijaypur Club by 2-0 goals.
