UDHAMPUR, Oct 31: Police today organized a Volleyball tournament to observe ‘Commemoration Day’ here at Mini Stadium.
The tournament was inaugurated by Dr Vinod Kumar-SSP Udhampur, who was accompanied by Anwaar Ul Haq Addl. SP Udhampur, SHO, Raghubir Singh, PSI Rahul Singh and PSI Raman Kumar.
The Volleyball tournament is being organized in the loving memory of J&K Police martyrs who had laid down their lives to uphold the integrity and sovereignty of the Nation.
The Volleyball tournament was played between Udhampur Volleyball Club and City Volleyball Club in which Udhampur Volleyball Club defeated the opponent team and lifted the title of tournament.
The SSP emphasized that it is the need of the hour to channelize the energy of the youth in a positive way and for their healthy growth as well as to keep them away from unhealthy activities.
A felicitation ceremony was held on the occasion during which Dr Vinod Kumar felicitated the teams and participating players.
