RAJOURI, Mar 17: Rajouri Police today organized Volleyball tournament under Civic Action Programme in far-flung area of the District.
A total of eight teams participated in the tournament which aims to channelize the energy of youth in sports fields in positive direction.
The Tournament was inaugurated today by SDPO Thanna Mandi Ifitkhar Choudhary alongwith SHO Nazir Ahmed.
Final match was played between Baba Sports Club and Hasplote which was won by Baba Sports Club.
MLA Rajouri Qammar Hussain was chief guest in the final who announced a sum of one lakh and fifty thousands out of his CDF for the development of Ground at MS Thanna Mandi.
The matches were played under the direction of SSP Rajouri Yougal Manhas. Prominent among those who were present included Arshad Khan, Lal Hussain, Maqbool Hussain and Ruksar Ahmed Bhat.
People of the area hailed the efforts of Thanna Mandi Police in organizing such programmes.
