Volleyball Tourney organized by Police concludes

UDHAMPUR, Apr 3: The Volleyball Tournament organized by Udhampur Police in memory of Martyr PSI Deepak Sharma, under the Civic Action programme, concluded today at the District Police Lines (DPL) Udhampur. The event saw the participation of eight teams from various clubs across District Udhampur, and was graced by DySP Headquarters Udhampur, Prehlad Sharma, as the chief guest.
A large crowd of prominent citizens, locals, and sportspersons attended the tournament, with the final match featuring a thrilling contest between the City Volleyball Club and Udhampur Volleyball Club. The City Volleyball Club emerged victorious in the final, clinching the win after an exciting match.
During the event, trophies, mementos, and certificates were distributed to the players. Among those present were DySP Headquarters Udhampur, SHO Police Station Udhampur, SHO Police Station Chenani, SHO Police Station Women Udhampur and many local residents.
In his address, DySP Headquarters praised the sportsmanship displayed by all the participants. He emphasized the importance of sports activities for the physical and mental well-being of youth, and commended Jammu and Kashmir Police for providing such opportunities and platforms for the youth. He encouraged children to actively participate in sports and make the most of these opportunities for growth and development.
