JAMMU, Nov 23: Faculty of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry (VSAH), SKUAST Jammu, R.S. Pura, celebrated the third day of five day extravaganza ‘Vet Fest Inicio 2K16’, with the inauguration of the Sports Events.
At its inaugural function, Dr Pradeep K Sharma, Vice-Chancellor addressed the gathering and expressed his happiness and contentment over the healthy participation of young and energetic veticos in various sports activities of the Faculty and advised them for their whole hearted participations in future inter/intra sports activities.
He also advised students to play games regularly along with the academics and try their levels best to excel in the both. To encourage the students he himself took the lead and participated in basketball and cricket events.
Dr MMS Zama, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry in his welcome address highlighted the importance of games and sports in a student’s life.
The other dignitaries present on the occasion were Dr MS Bhadwal, Associate Dean, Dr Rajesh Katoch , Organizing Secretary of ‘Vet Fest Inicio 2K16’, Dr HR Bhardwaj, Convener of Sports Event and all HoDs along with teaching and non teaching staff of the Faculty.
