Wajid Club wins Army’s Banihal Champions League final

BANIHAL, Sept 10: The final match of the Banihal Champions League 2017 at Banihal was played today in which Wajid Cricket Club Chareel Banihal defeated Shah Asrar Cricket Club Kaskoot Banihal by 38 runs.
More than 64 teams of Ramban district participated in the tournament.
Earlier, Wajid Club scored 165 runs in 20 overs and in the reply Shah Asrar could make 128 runs only.
More than two thousand local cricket lovers witnessed the final match at HSS Banihal with enthusiasm.
Many prizes were awarded to leading wicket takers, man of the match, leading run scorer and player of the tournament.
Winners Wajid Cricket Club was given trophy and Rs 75000 cash prize, while runners- up team was given trophy and Rs 50000 by the officers from Army on the occasion.
Amir Wani got most of the awards in the tournament including man of the tournament.
The locals were very happy with the conduct of such a big event in Banihal.
