Japan, Sept 23:
Heavy favorites Wales eased past Georgia by 43-14 in the Rugby World Cup here today evening.
A devastating first-half for Wales sunk Georgia and despite a valiant effort by Los Lelos in the second half, the Welsh never looked threatened and maintained a grip on the game throughout the 80 minutes.
From the start, Georgia was immediately put on the back foot as Welsh center Jonathan Davies strolled through a huge gap in the Georgian defense to open the scoring after just two minutes. Amusingly, Dan Biggar missed the conversion in front of the posts and the score remained 5-0.
However, if Georgia believed that Biggar’s gaff would be costly they were mistaken as 10 minutes later flanker Justin Tipuric touched down from a slick attacking move that exploited the disorganized defense. (PTI)
