JAMMU, Jan 12: WCC Red and WCC Blue scripted winners in the ongoing CL Chrangoo Memorial Cricket Tournament by defeating Jammu Tawi and Anti Corruption with 20 runs and seven wickets respectively, being played at Country Cricket Ground Amb Gharota, here today.
The WCC Red won the toss and decided to bat first. The WCC Red scored 138 runs by losing all wickets. Rohan made 37 runs, whereas Rohit, Adil and Firdous contributed 33, 23 and 13 runs respectively. For bowling side, Usman was the wrecker in chief who took five wickets by conceding 14 runs while Kartik and Bhuvnesh bagged two wickets each.
In reply, Jammu Tawi failed to chase the target and bundled out at 118 runs. Bhavuk made 33 runs while Yawar, Adil and Kamran contributed 16, 20 and 16 runs respectively. For bowling side, Raman Chargotra was wrecker in chief for Jammu Tawi who clinched seven wickets, whereas Adil and Firdous took two and one wickets respectively.
Raman Chrgotra was declared as man of the match.
In second match, WCC Blue defeated Anti Corruption with seven wickets. Anti Corruption won the toss and decided to bat first. The Anti Corruption team scored 74 runs with the fall of all wickets. Shubam and Imtiyaz contributed 26 and 24 runs respectively. From bowling side, Karan and Abhnav took three wickets each while Varun bagged two wickets.
In reply, the WCC Blue chased the set target in just 8.1 overs by losing only three wickets and thus won the match by seven wickets. Sidarth made highest 30 runs. From bowling side, Sunil Jalla bagged three wickets.
Karan Dev Singh was declared as man of the match.
