JAMMU, Sept 19: We Care Welfare Society (WCWS)– a self funded organization, organized a free medical camp for eye, general health and heart check-up at village Hamirpur Sidhar (native village of great reformist Sher-e-Duggar Late Lala Hans Raj Mahajan) of Khour block.
Dr Sanjay Sachdeva, a well known Ophthalmologist of famous eye hospital ‘Sachdeva Netralaya’, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu examined eye patients with great poise and care, of all eye diseases and ailments. During the camp, 148 eye patients were examined and among them 33 were screened for cataract eye surgeries which will be subsequently taken up in batches in the coming days.
A well known Cardiologist and Head of ASCOMS Artemis Heart Centre Jammu, Dr Neeraj Gupta and his team examined patients for general and heart related problems. 140 patients were examined out of which 14 patients of heart related problems were referred for further examination and treatment at Artmis Heart Centre. Facilities of ECG, BP, blood sugar (F), eye testing with latest equipments, were provided at the camp. Free of cost medicines and spectacles were also given to the patients.
WCWS chairman Prof M Sadiq Nargal, president Dr R K Gupta, general secretary Rajinder Gupta, vice president Sudershan Gupta, treasurer Kuldip Raj Uppal and members– Advocate VK Sharma, DIG (retired) Deepak Singh Slathia, V K Suri, Amarjeet Singh, Gulshan Vir Gupta, Surinder Singh, Surjit Kour, T K Zutshi, D P Saini, Arvind Khajuria, Sanjay Sharma, Rakesh Arora, Satish Chander Gupta, Yogish Jyotshi, Indu Bhat, Neelam Gupta, Shashi Gupta, Saloni Sabharwal, Subash Jandyal, Sham Jandyal, A S Gupta and Dinesh Kumar Gupta also joined the camp.
Ravinder Mahajan, great great grandson of late Lala Hans Raj Mahajan was also present. Team of ASCOMS Artemis Heart Centre includes Dr Sahasrmam Kotwal, GMW Bilqid Majeed and Nurse Rikhsana Wani while Ophthalmalic Assistant Ankush Verma of Sachdeva Natralaya also participated and provided services of eye testing.
