JAMMU, Sept 23: The Tenth day of ongoing ‘Display Your Talent-2015-16’ organized by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu, was dedicated to Western Singing, two events; Western Vocal Solo and Western Vocal Group were conducted at Brig. Rajinder Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu, here.
Prof. Neelu Rohmetra, Rector Kathua Campus was the chief guest on the occasion, while Dean Students Welfare, Dr. Prof. Pankaj Srivastava, Dr. Sanjay Sharma, Dr. Savita Nayyar, Dr. Madhulika Singh and other faculty members and office bearers of University of Jammu were present.
In Western Vocal (Solo), Satbir Singh of Model Academy of Engineering and Technology stood first, Ragini Gupta from Govt. College for Women, Gandhi Nagar claimed second spot. Saurabh Sharma and Varun Kumar from SPMR College of Commerce shared the third position. Certificates of Merit were awarded to Aayushi from GCW, Gandhi Nagar, Shreya Gandral from GCW, Parade and Shivi Badyal from GDC Udhampur.
Dr. Megna Dhar was the Teacher In-Charge of the event.
In Western Vocal (Group), the team of GCW, Gandhi Nagar stood first, SPMR College of Commerce bagged second spot and third position was shared by Govt. MAM College and GCW, Parade.
Certificate of Merit was awarded to Model Institute of Engineering & Technology. Dr. Sadaf Shah was the Teacher In-Charge of the event.
Jagmeet Singh, Sumit Sharma and Naresh Sharma were the Judges for both the events.
The event was coordinated by Sumeet Sharma (Drama Instructor) and Ifra Kak (Cultural Officer).
Suneedhi Sharma, Rahul Sharma, Archana Sharma, Amit Bali, Surinder Kumar, Darpendeep Kaur, Abhishek Sharma, Simrandeep Singh, Radhika Sharma, Nirupama Jamwal, Anshul Gupta, Hemant Magotra and Sameeta Rana did the Hall Management.
