JAMMU, Dec 30: White Cricket Club Srinagar defeated City Boys by five wickets in the ongoing CL Chrangoo Memorial Cricket Tournament, being played at Country Cricket Ground Amb Gharota, here today.
City Boys won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, the City Boys scored 115 runs by losing all wickets in 19.5 overs. Faizan Mir made 54 runs with the help of three sixes and four boundaries, whereas Junaid Ali, Aneesh Tickoo and Tanveer Ahmed contributed 15, 13 and 8 runs respectively. From bowling side, Sajjad Hussain clinched four wickets while Junaid Bashir bagged two wickets, Ashiq Altaf and Zahid shared one each wicket.
In reply, Whites Cricket Club Srinagar chased the set target by losing only five wickets in 17.5 overs. Junaid made 33 runs, whereas Zahid, Sushil and Sajjad contributed 31, 27 and 8 runs respectively.
Sajjad Hussain was declared as man of the match.
Gharu Ram and Vishal acted as umpires and Bharat was the scorer of the match.
However, two matches were scheduled today but due to dense fog, one match was postponed.
