JAMMU, Apr 2 : A wreath laying ceremony was organized to bid farewell to the brave JCO, Naib Subedar Sanayaima Kom, who was martyred in an IED blast on Saturday at the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch sector.
Commander, Poonch Brigade laid a wreath on behalf of Lt Gen D Anbu, Army Commander, Northern Command and Lt General AK Sharma, General Officer Commanding, White Knight Corps.
37 -years- old JCO belonged to village Moirang Mantak, Churachandpur district of Manipur. He is survived by wife, Reinu Kom, seven year-old daughter and two sons, one aged six years and the other just eleven months old.
The mortal remains of the brave martyr are being transported on April 3, 2017 from Jammu to his native village in Manipur by Service aircraft, where his body he will be laid to rest with full Military honours.
Naib Subedar Sanayaima Kom was a dedicated, brave and sincere soldier and a thorough professional. He loved his job to the core. The nation will remain indebted to him for the supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty. He will continue to motivate the future generations.
