*Rajouri, Samba script wins

JAMMU, June 7: On the ongoing White Knights Cricket Premier League, being organised by Army, entered its 7th day wherein Rajouri and Samba teams emerged winners, played at Country Cricket Stadium, here today.
The first match was played between Rajouri team and Udhampur team, wherein former scripted win over the latter. Batting first, Rajouri made 141 runs in the stipulated overs, while the opponent team was bundled out at 88 runs.
Anuj of Rajouri was declared as man of the match for his outstanding bowling, who took 4 wickets.
The second match was played between District Jammu and District Samba which was easily won by Samba. The Jammu team scored 101 runs which was easily chased by the Samba team.
Former MLA Bharat Bhushan and Chairman DDC was the chief guest of the award ceremony who awarded the players for their outstanding performance. He also lauded the Indian Army’s gesture towards civilian populace especially the youth by organising such a high professional level cricket tournament.
