Is Jammu Development Authority so much busy rather overburdened with the work load in the overall interests of the public that they have no time to undertake the job of demarcation of huge chunk of Government land mandated to be looked after, maintained and secured by it? Is it so much hard pressed with lot of construction projects and other duties that it has no time to respect and comply with the directions from the State High Court ? How many more deadlines are sought by the JDA to complete the job of the demarcation of land? Reply to these simple questions is sought from the JDA in the right earnest.
There are various occasions that by providence visit to improve the overall image so that the existing one could get a facelift and demarcation exercise of the vast chunk of the JDA land was such occasion and opportunity for the JDA but recklessness prevails over prompt response.
Numerous directions were conveyed and one such direction was to get the job done by June 30, 2019 for the completion of the exercise . Likewise, Division Bench of the State High Court directed very clearly the Revenue Authorities of Jammu and Samba districts as also the JDA to prepare action plan for demarcation of land but so far nothing of the sort has happened. We expect the concerned authorities to feel serious about the issue in right earnest.
