JAMMU, Apr 5: BJYM president J&K Arun Prabhat launched ‘Winter Capital Football Club’ at Miran Sahib, here today.
After launching the event, various Football players were introduced which came from various parts of Jammu & Kashmir.
Arun Prabhat appreciated the efforts of the Club to develop and promote Football culture in Jammu and said that these kind of initiatives boost and encourage local youth to take part in sports activities which channelize the youth to devote themselves for nation building.
He further said that under the BJP regime, the Government has a special focus in developing sports infrastructure throughout the country and the Prime Minister always encouraged young people to take part in games and sports. “The players have the potential to represent India at international level and their impeccable dedication will make this thing a reality very soon,” he said.
He also said that the Winter Capital FC will play an important role in grooming future football players of the nation.
BJYM vice president Yuvraj Singh, ut spokesperson Amit Sharma and Mission Youth In-charge Pushpinder Singh were present during the event. Founder of the Club, Vikram Thakur thanked Arun Prabhat and his team for gracing the occasion.
AFC-A license coach, Satpal Singh (Tech. Director in Club) also addressed the gathering and Prof. Davinder –SKUAST (gen. secretary of the Club) was present during the event.
