UDHAMPUR, Dec 29: To discuss the arrangements for two day Winter Carnival at Patnitop which is being organized from January 19, 2013, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Director Tourism, Robin Singh, here today.
SSP Udhampur, Ashkoor Wani, Chief Executive Officer, Patnitop, Development Authority, Raman Kesar, Joint Director Planning Udhampur, Rakesh Jamwal representatives of print and electronic media, Travel Agencies and members of the Hotel Association Patnitop were present in the meeting.
Singh stressed the role of media and other stake holders in promoting the event and attracting tourist to the carnival .He stressed upon the Hoteliers to provide special packages to the tourist during the carnival
On the occasion, SSP, Udhampur, Ashkoor Wani assured that adequate security arrangements will be made for the event
Apart from this, Singh stressed upon the Officers of the Patnitop Development Authorities to ensure proper cleanliness of the areas along with illumination of Patnitop area, circular road upto Nag Mandir besides deployment of Public Conveniences at various locations.
