JAMMU, July 9: Two persons including a woman ended their lives by consuming some poisonous substance at their respective residences.
As per reports, Asha Devi, wife of Vijay Kumar of tehsil Vijaypur, district Samba consumed some poisonous substance at her residence yesterday.
Finding her unconscious, family members rushed her to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where she failed to respond to the treatment and breathed her last today morning.
Meanwhile, Raj Kumar, son of Ram Pal of Trikuta Nagar consumed some poisonous substance at his residence yesterday.
Family members shifted him to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he failed to respond to the treatment and died.
The bodies of the deceased were handed over to family members for last rites after completing legal formalities.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at concerned police stations and investigation started to ascertain the reasons behind such extreme steps.
