UDHAMPUR, July 14: A young woman attempted suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in Ward number 17, Udhampur.
According to the Police reports, Arshad Parveen (30), wife of Mohd Adil of Bihar, presently putting up at Christian Colony, Ward no 17 Udhampur, consumed some poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances.
Family members took her to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors washed her stomach. Cause behind provocation could not be ascertained as Police had not yet recorded her statement.
Meanwhile, three persons were injured in two road accidents, here today.
A Scooty was hit by a Truck at Bypass National Highway, Battal Ballian Udhampur, resulting into injuries to the riders. The injured, identified as Ravi Kumar (32), son of Sandokh Ram of Ladan, Power House Udhampur and Bhushan Kumar (21), son of Jugal Kumar of Garian Talab Udhampur, were shifted to hospital by some passersby.
In another road accident, a Motorcycle skidded off the road at Chopra Shop Udhampur, causing injuries to the biker. Locals and police took the injured to District Hospital Udhampur. The injured was identified as Rakesh Sharma (23) son of Kartar Chand of Sin Thakra Udhampur.
